Maggie Chenoweth
Maggie Chenoweth, daughter of Becky and Bob Chenoweth, graduated Summa
Cum Laude from Marshall University with a 4.0 GPA. She was a John
Marshall scholar who double majored in applied mathematics and secondary
math education and earned her minor in computer science. While at
Marshall, Maggie received funding through NASA for her research project
that was eventually published in a national journal and was awarded first
place in the Sigma Xi research day competition. She was a student
ambassador for the department of mathematics, president of Pi Mu Epsilon,
senior representative for MUHSA, and member of the Marshall University
Honors Program, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International,
and Gamma Beta Phi. She recently received both the Outstanding Student
in Mathematics award and the Outstanding Student in the College of Education
award. In the fall, Maggie plans on serving as a teaching assistant
in Marshall�s math department as she begins her pursuit of a post-graduate
degree.
