On Saturday, October 28, 2000 at Cabell
Hall there was a LEGO Robotic Workshop. This student decided to build
and program an intelligent restaurant. She started by building the
structure of the restaurant and then thoughtfully planned the interior
to suit her ideas. She decided to build a food bar with a built in
hot plate so that waiters could cook and serve on the spot. Next,
she decided to build a desk and chair so that reservations, ordering, and
other work could be done by the managers. She also built two tables
for group seating. She also wanted a piano in the restaurant to provide
entertainment to the diners. The record player also adds music to
flavor the ambiance. The light gave a soft glow to the dining room
and the fan helped make the atmosphere very pleasant indeed. Wouldn't
you like to visit her LEGO Intelligent Restaurant?
