Culloden Fourth Grade
Practice Teaching

March 4, 2005

The speed trap program works this week just by starting the RCX and pushing the green run button.

The safe way to carry an RCX is to hold it firmly top and bottom.

The IR plugs into the serial port 1.

Click RoboLab to start programming.

Have the IR in front of the RCX to download.
The train missions can help with teaching more students.

We learned more about data logging.

After running a program the data can be uploaded from the RCX to the computer.

Each time the car was in front of the light sensor he reading was lower.

The graph can be a line graph or a bar graph.

The graph can be printed out.
Then we connected to the LEGO City at Marshall University.

We sent the program we made
and received data back over the Internet.

We watched the windmill and monorail move.

The data graph has stripes of different colors as does the Principal's sweater.

The six fourth graders are learning to teach the other students at Culloden Elementary
in the after school program.
