Traffic Gate
Culloden Elementary

April 13, 2006

Today the students built a traffic gate similar to those seen in a parking garage.  Once the gate was built,
they programmed it to rotate up, stay for a period of time, and rotate back to the original closed position.

The students then decided to add a light sensor to the build.  Shown below, the light sensor continuously
reads a dark reading from the black Lego piece.  The students manipulated the program so that when the
light sensor read a brighter reading than the black, then the gate would rotate as before.
