Before building with the Simple machine sets,
these two connected to http://SENSORSCITY.marshall.edu
to drop the New Year's Ball.
They also ran the rover and programs through http://lego.marshall.edu
A crane make go down like the New Year's Ball.
After building the carne they measured that a object can move 12 inches.
It takes 4 turns to move 2 inches.
We worked out how many turns would be a foot.
How many turns would be one third of a foot?
How many for three fourths of a foot?
We actually did many fraction problems. It was great to hear "I love math".
The whole class got in on the math and some more LEGO projects.
