The fifth grade is working with the miming robot from the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Engineering Volume II.
The LEGO Soft make a good mine. The current program is in RoboLab.
The robot moved until it "sees" a wall then turns its it head left and right.
Then it runs toward the longer way. This is repeated four times.
The kids build various "mines" to check out how the program runs.
The class is going to try out NXT-G programming this week while I am at Tufts Datalogging Symposium.
I hear from Mrs. Simon that their programming went very well.
