The Miss Adventure Signal group made a "telegraph" machine to sound SOS.
They made different sounds by what surface was hit and
by the distance between the connectors that are used to trip the hammers.
The 3 connectors were far apart on one side and close together on the other.
The sound was quick, quick, quick, slow, slow, slow.
