These systems might be of greatest interest:  PCR, gel doc, gel electrophoresis systems, band picker, automated protein digestion station, and the microscopy facility. There is research on DNA, stem cells, ultrasonic drug delivery, cancer, DNA sequencing and lots more.

FIRST Vision: "...to transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders." Dean Kamen, Founder.

Our most important challenge is to cultivate the next generation by inspiring innovative, passionate future scientists, engineers, and technologists who will lead the way into a new, more innovative world where Gracious Professionalism, informed thinking, and critical analysis converge. Its also about the opportunities that arise from being a part of FIRST - that powerful combination of imagination, determination, and collaboration that occurs when young people discover the excitement of STEM, coupled with the thrill of competition and the rewards it brings.

Justin talked to the members about his DNA sequencing machine.
I had signed a nondisclosure way back when it was his idea in the invention class at Marshall
so I will only say WOW!

He discussed and showed the many parts of the entire business.

Justin was asked what problem would there be for robotics to solve.

He talked of a need for materials input and output.

The team members have come up with ideas already.
