Tops
after
Public Event

December 14 - 22, 2009

It was a semester of getting ready for the Public Event at Marshall University . After  the Public Event it was time to take apart the projects.
Some students received their awards. Some played one last time with their latest project before taking it apart. Some showed off how their project works to other that had not seen it. Some fifth graders said a fond farewell to their awesome robots.  The fourth graders will get their chance to try their hand a robotics for the rest of the year so they will be ready for FLL next year.

Then with the materials back in their proper spots and checkout complete each group got to try out making tops.
Some used hand power.  Some used the fast motors with the simple machine sets. Some tried out the motors with the RCX.  Some used WeDO and the instructions to program the computer to keep count of the seconds.

I hope my Red Rover Red Rover is being appreciated.
