You and your families and friends are invited to
the FIRST LEGO League 2013 Nature's Fury Public Event
at Marshall University Marrow Library
Room 100
Saturday, November 16, 2013  10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
There will be at  12 FLL teams in attendance.
There will be at  12 Junior FIRST LEGO League teams.

Schedule:
8:45-9:00 Team Set-up
9:00 - 10:00 Robot judging

10:00 open to public

The presentations will be given in the front of the room.
The center of the main room will have 4 FLL tables for the robot games.
The right hall will have LEGO DUPLO materials for the very young, the  young at heart to build with during the day,
and each team is to build the teamwork project. Be sure to work out a time for your team.
In the left hall will be a practice table for the teams during the day.
The Junior FLL projects and posters will displayed in the entry area of  Morrow.
 

Lunch is on your own. Lunch may be eaten in the outer lobby or you may make plans to go out.
You may wish to make arrangements with the Pizza Hut on 5th Avenue, close to MU Stadium, for pizza delivery.
There are also other fast food restaurants in the same area, or
you may make arrangements to bring a picnic lunch or food to share. This may get cooperatively organized.
 

Pit Area for Each Team:
White board on wall of the outer parts of the main room area for banner, poster, etc.
One rectangular table for each FLL team
Small round table for each Junior FLL team
Electrical outlets
Roll out boards for posters
Self scoring papers for each team for each round

Teams make sure you bring:
Computers
Robots
Chargers and extension cords or batteries
Presentations materials
Team information Sheet
Posters, computer program print-outs, team information  poster
Dry Erase markers to write on your area board
Pencils
Pens to write names on certificates
Paper
Masking tape

Bookmark Awards:
Awards will be given to students by other students who are commending
their gracious professionalism,
teamwork, presentation,
robot building and programming.

These awards are given student to student with comments written on the back by the student giving the award to explain why it was given.

Judged awards:
The Robotics Competition (many tasks in 2 1/2 minutes)
Robot Design, Programming;
The Research Project ( 5 min. presentation on challenge topic)
TEAMWORK. (how well we work together as a team) and Gracious Professionalism.

This is the last year for West Virginia FLL teams to go to state without going to a regional tournament.
Team Time Public Event is a cooperative friendly event.
Please volunteer to help with set up, name tags, watching in the building area, organizing food, etc.

Any former FLL members, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, Marshall students, professors, etc.
that would like to help this year may like to be the core of a regional qualifying tournament next year.
