The Duplo Crimper that can be made with the Duplo Simple Machine set can be motorized and programmed.
Adding another gear and a pulley will gear the project down enough for a motor to run with paper in the gears.
Program the RCX using RoboLab Pilot.
The paper strips can be used for "hair", bracelets or necklaces.
It is fun to program music with it, too.
With the Simple Machine set this class has they will be able to make crinkled paper strips for all sorts of projects.
