Squares and Not Squares

December 12, 2005

Even though it was a short day in the Kindergarten class today,
the students still had an opportunity to do some measuring,
arranging by color and identification of shapes.

We sorted all the squares from the rectangles
and then used some of the rectangles to make squares.

How many does it take to be as tall as you are?

After sorting the shapes,
we sorted them into color categories.

Mrs. Hamilton measured Kate to be over 30 blocks tall, while some of the students were only 15-20 blocks tall.
