Watch as I build. Notice where the holes are.
The large beams and one small beam are sandwiched it between two blocks to make a long beam.
Now can you remake it the same?
Yes.

Two blocks on one end do not balance with three blocks on the other.
Where can the three be placed so that everything balances?
