Miller Elementary LEGO eLab  Corn Grinder

The ideas from the lesson plans from the  LEGO eLab hinted at connecting the gear on the axle through the grinding stone.  It was much more complicated than just going up straight since the sides of the windmill are at an angle to keep the sails from touching the upright.

Keeping the gears meshing was solved by placing a bushing above the plate below.

The place to feed the corn down to the grinding stones was not wide enough.  It was redesigned.
