Pull Back Cars
at Miller Elementary

were made for a LEGO Dacta eLab lesson on strain energy.
Rubber band cars were built that have the gears and latch visible.

Though there looks to be only one variable differing in each of the pull back car models,  there actually turned out to be many slight differences.  It was expected that the farther the arm was pulled back the father a car would go.  The next to the bottom went the shortest even when getting a variety of rubber bands.
The biggest difference turned out to be the placement of the gear that can disengage.
