The last group of 4th graders at Miller Elementary used the eLab sets to make Balloon Cars.
It helps to have large balloons for distance
but they can get caught in the wheels
or rub against the wheels.
Three wheels did work well with an extra brick to raise the balloon.
Above demonstrates the way to make to car go backwards.
The extra wheel in the middle just bumped into the balloon and stopped the car.
Extra beams worked to keep the balloon in place.
By the time all the early problems had been fixed the balloons were getting wiggly and wet.
The opening needed to be round and and not stuck together.
Taller car keeps the balloon away from the wheels.
