Fly Wheel Car

Miller Elementary 4th Energy Studies were on the flywheel on January
8, 20001
Here are some of the comments:
It saves up some moving energy - kinetic energry.
Cute little car.
Fly wheels are heavy.
It has quite a gear train.
So why is it called a "FLY" wheel?
Does the weight make a difference in how far the car will go?
