Sound Sensor Data
April 5, 2004
Students at Davis Creek Elementary and
Miller Elementary set up a program on the RCX to take in Sound sensor readings.

While students took turns building and operating rovers,

we set up a sound sensor to gather data.

The sound was between 60 and 100 dB.

At Marshall University in MTH 121 class the program ran the motor to make the contraption go
a a speed that was determined by the sound sensor reading.

Quiet, loud, quiet, loud and back to quiet can be seen in the graph.

Perhaps the reading are all showing about 10 dB high.
