Miller Elementary Third grade

The principal saw the 11 different simple machine projects.
Twenty three 3rd graders were assisted by a 4th and 5th graders.
The class worked in pairs with a helper that was an experienced builder
from being in third grade last year or the year before.
The fourth graders have been working with eLab.  The fifth graders have been doing LEGO robotics.

Axles are measured by how many bumps long it is.
Wheels with separate axles turn better than if there is a single axle across from wheel to wheel.

Horizontal to vertical bracing is done by having two plates between two beams and using black connectors.

Scale with counter weight measures heavy objects.

Wheels with winch reduce friction.
