Monorail

March 7, 2006
The students began the day by demonstrating great teamwork skills.  One group decided to build
the track for the monorail while the other group built the train that would ride on the track.
This project was great for learning about structures.  The train is relatively heavy, therefore the track
had to be strong in order to support the load.

The major challenge of the day was thinking of a way to keep the train from going to far and falling off
of the track.  The students decided to use touch sensors to tell the train to reverse direction.
Their teamwork was rewarded when the monorail worked flawlessly the first time the run button
was pressed.
