eLab Car

February 13, 2006

Using a motor as a generator and saving the electricity in a capacitor a lamp can shine or a car can move.

Without a motor, the potential energy in the car released at the top of one ramp
is not enough energy as kenetic energy to have the car go back up the second ramp
because of energy lost to friction.
Using a motor with energy from the capacitor went up, over, and into the room.

With a few more pushes to fill up the capacitor,
the car travelled back into the 4th grade classroom for the rest of the class to see.
