Levers for Addition
January 20, 2012

This first group of first graders is building levers with the new white
LEGO® Education simple machine sets.

Where the fulcrum is placed makes a big difference in how hard it is
to lift a weight.

Now we are using the levers to toss a ring twice.
We add the two numbers.
If the ring on a line we use the larger one.

This group is in second grade.

They are doing the same math game
but with the more complicated version of the lever build.
