Merry Go Round
December 14, 2012
Kylie had made a Jr.FLL robotics project and took it to WV State FLL tournament.
She won the motion award.
Notice how the gears change the speed and direction of the motor motion.
Today the class is using gears to change motion for merry go rounds.
3 turns of the handle make the merry go round go once around.
Large gears can make the motion faster if used as the driver.
We connected some of the merry go rounds to the Jr.FLL project so that some went slowly and some went fast.
All pieces put away in their proper places.
If you have two together you can use the remover.
