LEGO Duplo
at Libraries
"Who knew there were so many LEGO Duplo pieces in the world?
AND, who knew you could built that with them?"
Build a City and all sorts of transportation.
Summer 2004
Linda Hamilton is a mathematics instructor at Marshall University
who uses LEGO materials to help students learn abstract math and science concepts.
All  week, she is visiting with us at various branches to show us how
LEGO DUPLO pieces can be used to design and build a model city
complete with roads, bridges and traffic.
From the computers at the libraries anyone can teleoperate the
the LEGO City
at Marshall University.
This high-tech model city  incorporates intelligent transportation systems
and uses sensor input for traffic monitoring and control.
