Top Math and Minifigs

The LEGO team looked at a movie of real LEGO figures at the factory
as the arms were put on
and they went on conveyor belts into bins.
Then the class in three groups made tops and spun them.
We timed how long each kind could go and figured out how much longer
one kind went than another.
We made top spinners to make the tops go with gears.
This spinner had numbers. Each student spun twice then add the
points.
They picked out as many pieces as the number.
They put their pieces together to check the sum.
