Build pyramids and see if you can see patterns in the numbers.

6 times 6 is 36                            9 times 9 is 81
Here are some nice patterns.

How many blocks are saved by building hollow?  Enough to build the ones 2 layers smaller and so on.




How much do they weigh?  How many to make a pound?
