You can move objects along the conveyor belt form one place to another.
In one minute they moved 30 objects.
Then they figured out the average seconds per object.
Last week's project was a crane. Next year's FLL challenge will
be alternate energy.
So I tried to have the crane move by solar power.
It only worked in the sun light through the door and only at the steep
angle.
The class room had no window so it could not be demonstrated there.
The conveyor belt was demonstrated for the whole class and they figured
out the rate.
Also last's week group demonstrated the crane and the class estimated
then figured out the number
of turns needed to raise the object completely
with one gear ratio and another that had triple the gear ratio.
