Spring Hill
Fourth Grade Fifth Visit

On Wednesday October 18 I visited the fourth grad TAG class at Spring Hill elementary.  Today Mrs. Withers and I had the children begin working with the RCX robots.  About half the class was out for testing which meant we had a much smaller class than usual and this worked out to our advantage.  The previous year Mrs. Withers ended up having one of her four RCX robots stolen, leaving her with only three, and two of these were being used by the fifth grade TAG class.  I split the children into three groups and had each group assemble a different part of the robot we agreed to build.

The children got all of their pieces assembled just as it was time for me to leave.  We marked all the pieces the children made and set them aside in the cabinet with intentions of assembling the three pieces of the robot and beginning programming next week.  Mrs. Withers also found out that soon she will have another student added to the class.
