The topic for SENSORSCITY for the month of October is going to be bridges.
These fifth graders are building the bridges from the instructions for the Motorized simple machine sets.
The final instructions are for a fixed bridge. We are going to keep them as draw bridges.
Now we are going to try to motorize the motion.
Pulleys, gears, and cams are three ways that work.
It would be interesting to program an RCX to raise the bridge when a touch sensor is pushed.
