Two concepts in making a swing are on instructions A.6 and A.8.
A.8 cover cracks above and below.
A.6 Two plates between two beams to connect horizontal and vertical.
Use black friction connectors under the swing seat to keep it upright.
Now have fun and make a "person".
Perhaps motorize it.
