Eight students worked in pairs with the LEGO Education ELab sets.
They built cars.
A motor can be used as a dynamo to make electricity to run the motor on the car.
The motor can make electricity and it can be saved in a capacitor,
The the energy in the capacitor can run the car.
A solar panel can be used outside in the sun.
They showed their class that the energy in the capacitor that they had generated electricity for
for only 30 seconds
lasted completely across their room
and out the hall and back to the computer lab.
