Sudoku and White Sets

April 23, 2012
We started out with a team project of Sudoku.
Each would give a proof of why a block would be correctly placed and all would check.

Then each group made a car or merry go round with the new White Sets.

We carefully checked out the way wheels can be attached with axles by feeling how easy it was to make curves.

Single axle is very hard to make turns because the wheels turn together and so have a lot of friction with the ground.
With separate axles for each wheel they urn independently and so each roll along the surface.

We also carefully checked out the gear ratios of small to crown and large to small.
