Pull Back Car (and Chocolate Kiss Game)

Calibration for Kiss Game

Four students try to get the closest to a chocolate Kiss with out bumping it.

They have tested how far to pull back for 1 foot.
Now the one that comes the closest to the kiss with out touching wins the kiss.

They calibrated for 2 foot and then 3 foot.

Calibrating Pull Back Car
One goal for today is to place marks on the card on the cars so that three exact distances can be traveled.
The farther the rubber band is pulled back the farther the car goes.
The hard part is to be able to go a particular distance.
Calibration is having a scale marked so that given distances can be traveled reliably and repeatable.

Try out pneumatic arm

One pumps air into the system,
one switches left and right,
another switches up and down,
and the last switches open and closed.

Now with everything figured out,

change jobs and try to place the object on the vehicle.

Working on repeatability is good practice for FIRST LEGO League.
