Investigate in RoboLab is used to program the robots to gather data and be able to upload the data.


They built robots that can gather light sensor data about the dark spot on the rotating wheel.


As the robot travels the set up works as an odometer.

They can up load the data and "see" how many times the light sensor reading went down.

Measure the circumference of the wheel and you know what distance the robot drove in one rotation.

From those pieces of information they figured out how long the rover went from one spot to the other
and they figured out how long their room is.


The red group are taking on the challenge of making an escape pod that can move all the material
from their failing spaceship and get everything to the surface of the alien planet.
