RTI Workshop

June 24, 2004

The kids decide to do some remote operations of LEGO City before starting
on the day's RTI agenda.

The Robolab software can be used to program "The Gadget" to perform
a wide variety of tasks. Our inventor is designing a program that will play music
and change lights from green to red when an object is placed into the basket.

We're putting together the Mars mission mat for the day's activities.

The core sample pick-up is proving to be a very challenging task.
It takes a good deal of hardware adjustment and program change
to allow our bots to accomplish their missions.

The hydraulics set provides a interesting and different set of challenges.

The kids are really understanding the relationship between programming
and the actual performance of the hardware.

The ability to communicate and listen to others is very important to the
success of any group effort, and these kids are doing both very well.

It's 11:30 -demonstration time!

Tomorrow is the last day of the RTI workshop. The kids will finish programming
their Mars bots, and move on to other projects.
