Pneumatic lift
Estimate the number of step the bug will take to go to the other side.
Worm gears can make the motion slower and much stronger.
Pulleys can change the direction of motion.
Magno bird picks up magnets when you get the spacing measured correctly.

Program the rover to get to the required spot and wait 10 seconds,
and return.
Program the rover to go the the crater, retrieve an core sample, and
return.
Clear the dust off the solar panel.
RCX did it.
