Wind Car

June 18, 2013

Two groups a day are going to work with LEGO simple machine sets to learn some STEM concepts.
Today they are going to work with wheels and axles.
Though many of the pictures in the instructions look the same the students found that the feel and actions were quite different.
What makes more friction for moving or turning is something better done in hand than learned by words or pictures.

Today's challenge wa to make a car go by wind power.

Did you figure out why there is difference in the amount of friction?
What is different about single and separate axles?
