Data on Distance

March 4, 2008

We can use the data from the robots to measure how long something is.

Each time the robots wheel turns one rotation the light sensor reading dips.
Count the dips and multiply by 13.5 for the length in centimeters.

Check

Now measure the room.

The dips on the graph are like the clicks on the trundle wheel.

One circumference is one click or one dip.
