Mechanical Advantage

November 5, 2008

Where the fulcrum is placed on a 1st class lever.

changes how many blocks will take to tip the lever.

They recorded their data for each position from 4 to 10,
checked their data, and recorded all the class data.

It was easy to see where they should check the data again.

The larger mechanical advantage is when the distance from the fulcrum to the load is the smallest.

For the Jr.FLL project they are learning about simple machines and doing research on climate .
He got email from a meteorologist answering questions on weather.
