This is the second project in the yellow simple machine sets.

It takes careful counting

and careful untying of knots.  Half hitch works best for the loop.

See how far 10 turns go.

Estimate how many turns of the handle it takes to raise to the top.

This crane has a pawl and ratchet that keeps it safe from dropping.
