Procedures:
1. Introduction given concerning the FIRST LEGO League project Senior Solutions.
2. Students and volunteers introduced
3. Meeting schedule created
4. Core Values and Gracious Professionalism discussed
5. Emergency contacts and medical information gathered
6. Competition area set up
7. Robot programming installed
8. Team name chosen
9. Teams members organized into three groups (Students will rotate groups each meeting)
Group work:
Research Group:  In the effort to develop and understanding of what the mission of  Senior Solutions involved, students used the internet to do research on senior citizens, aging, and gerontology. This information will be shared next week with the whole group.
Marketing Group:  The students brainstormed ideas for a group name.   The class consensus was that ROBOT PIRATES would be their team name.  The next step was to work on a logo for the group.  The entire class was given the assignment to come up with a logo suggestion by next week.
Programming Group: Students learned to work with the already built RCX robot and the RoboLab software to begin programming the robot to move autonomously..
Follow-up:  Logos will be presented and one chosen.  Research will be presented.
