April 29, 2000 was the star date for Marshall
University's Continuing Education's Virtual Space Camp. The camp
was attended by students of various ages who simulated a mission to Mars.
The students started by getting some facts about Mars and starting a journal.
Next, they discussed, planned, and constructed a Mars three story habitat,
radiation shield, air recirculation machine, water extration machine, landed
for the DC Rover, green house for food production, and a robotic arm.
The images on this page show the resulting Mars model for a successful
manned flight and exploration of Mars.
