Construction

The Marshall University Continuing Education Department's LEGO Virtual Space Camp was held on star date April 29, 2000 at Cabell Hall in the multi-purpose room.  The students simulated a Mars mission by discussing, planning, and constructing a Mars Colony three story habitat, green house for food production, water extraction machine, air recirculation and oxygen production machine, a radiation shield, a lander for the Mars Rover, and a robotic arm.  The students tested the parameters of the Rover by driving over rocks.  They also kept journals of their space adventures and accomplishments.

Mrs. Hamilton & Mrs. Liz Murray work together with the students
