The Spirit has landed safely on Mars!
Today I took this LEGO model to the fourth and fifth grade as Miller
Elementary.
Each class discussed and asked lots of questions about the real thing.
I have real solar panels that two of the students built into a vehicle.
The principal helped us out with a lamp. Today was not bright
enough because of rain.
There is no rain on Mars but dust storms can be a problem to solar
panels.

The Mars rover has cameras, motors, sensors and computer.
It is programs sent to it.
The LEGO rovers that run with Red Rover software work in a smaller
way like that.

Mars Station South Pole2 at Marshall University
can be teleoperated at http://lego.marshall.edu
even at the same time as SENSORSCITY.
