The second group of four made winches with worm gears.
For the 24 tooth gear in the top of the gear block to go around one full time
takes 24 turns of the handle.
Last week the entire string was almost up in 24 turns.
1. For this winch the handle was very easy to turn.
2. The heavy weight did not drop at all.
3. It took a long time to lift the weight.
Over 600 turns!
When this group presented to the rest of the 20 classmates,
they figured out that at one second a turn raising the weight could
take ten minutes.
