The magic string project is really surprising.
What looks like a short string turning into a long string is really two strings.
The short string is connected to the axle with a 40 tooth gear
which meshes with an 8 tooth gear that is on an axle with a long string connected to it.
One side is easy to pull and the other is hard.
Harder yet is writing down the description.
