Gears for Anemometer

September 22, 2008

The students are studying weather and climate and machines that are used to study climate.

They are also studying simple machines.  Merry go rounds use gears.

Different drivers and followers make a great difference in speed.

Different wind speeds could be measured by reversing that idea.
Turnstile project could be modified to make an anemometer.

Usually one would use instructions to build a turnstile project
but she decided to do bench marking or reverse engineering.

Great work.
