Magnet Fishing Poles

August 19, 2013

This class is using Cities and Transportation sets.
The colors are different than on http://netapps.marshall.edu/lego/lessonplans/Fishing/FishingPole.html
so I used LEGO Digital Designer to make a LEGO pole in black and yellow.
A separator can be used to take apart two plates.
Plates just on the top of the beams is enough for fishing
since the cracks between two beams will be under compression.
A separator can be used to take apart two plates.

The string will be a help because it will be under tension.

A LEGO magnet is the "hook"  and the fish are made of LEGO plates and LEGO magnets.
Magnets can not pick up the plates but they work well with the "fish".

Get all the fish.

On the backs of some fist are papers with secret codes.

What is a platypus at the North Pole called?

They did the math and figured it out.

Perhaps we can use a crane for Jr.FLL.
