Fishing Pole

Magnet fishing pole games are a great way to set up math problems.

Light weight is best. Amazingly only the top of the cracks need to be covered with plates.

Try adding a pawl and ratchet to keep the "fish"  from getting away.

Make strips of paper with equations and tape to the bottom of some fish.
Let the students "catch" the fish, have the class figure out each number, and
then figure out what letter each represents.
