Geoboard projects can be done without nails by doing rubbings on LEGO® plates
with the side of a crayon without paper wrapping.
Shapes can be divided up into squares and rectangles.
Duplo rubbings work, also.

After a large number of examples
try to figure out a formula for
Area using half the number of Perimeter points, the number of points
in the Interior, and 1.
